Last Thursday, I was at an A-Team dinner party (my co-workers and I call ourselves the A-Team) and we began playing the game "Would You Rather..." (We are a very fun, mature bunch of women. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had that night. Just talking!)
The question, "Would you rather be lied to or gossiped about?" was asked. I made my usual smart answer, "C: neither." But I've been thinking of that question a lot in the last day or so. Obviously, neither is a good answer. And to deal with either of them is terrible because its painful and wreaks havoc on relationships and friendships.
How does gossip get so bad so quickly? Why do we do it? Why do we lie? How often do people not tell the truth, really?
I think if I had to choose the lesser of two evils... I would still say neither.
What do you think?
When confronted with a choice between two evils, choose the one you havent tried before?
