Well, its been awhile since I have written a real post on here. I blame this entirely on a recent spike in busyness in my already crazy schedule. I am sure you are all on pins and needles, anxious to know what I have been up to... for my collective fans.. here we go:
weddings are taking over
Seriously... In comparison to the last several years... this summer and fall has been relatively tame... the exception is that with my most recent wedding-- my friend Ang-- and my next wedding-- my friend Mel-- I am actually in the wedding!! and they are dear, close friends of mine! Ang's wedding nearly knocked me and my car out-- I drove nearly 1000 miles in relation to SOMETHING for the wedding or in preparation for it or a wedding activity! (the only time I had that racked that many miles was when I drove to Kate's wedding and that was in Montana!!) I may sound like I am whining, but really, it was fun helping with Ang's wedding and I am excited for her and Jeremy! Mel's shower is this weekend, and I praying for a great turnout of people!!! We had issues getting a room at the time we wanted at the church and I hoping its not an issue for too many people!
work: more than a paycheck
I really do love my job. Things are EXPLODING in the office. I swear-- you get one thing done, and its replaced with three others. I have worked late every night this week, and have burst into exhausted tears only once. Today I found refuge in the old baptismal. The only place I could hide with no one finding me for a half hour without leaving the property!! Its been exciting having an overwhelming response to HOSTS for lifegroups, and am prepping to get the groups available online and training materials available. The Men's Retreat is this weekend, and its been crazy helping them get things ready. I kinda wish I could go, but its for men only. Men's retreats are so simple in comparison to the incredible detailed work women's retreats are---- i think its because men don't worry about centerpieces and giveaway gifts and pretty nametags!
men
I gave up on looking. I have a disappointing experience with eharmony. It wasn't worth it. I got responses, but nothing that led to anything worthwhile.Thats about it. Nothing more exciting than that.
mssion trip cori
well, in my heart i have said YES YES YES to a recent short term mission trip Nicaragua with Uprising (young adult ministry). now I wait and see how it pans out. I don't want to get too excited before I know more details, and of course, if I'd even be able to get the time off to go!!
well, i am getting tired. Oh one more category...
whats on tv
ok, so this isn't that important But I am so excited that Beauty and the Geek's new season started last nght! I know where I will be Tuesday nights! Haha. Is that terrible??? I also made sure I was home tonight to watch the premiere of America's Top Model. :) Now I am waiting for One Tree Hill to begin again and I am set.... (I am such a nerd!)
